The success of the Centre multifonctionnel Horizon relies on a dedicated staff dedicated to the development of people with intellectual and physical disabilities, as well as those with autism spectrum disorders.
Professionals with a diploma in helping relationships and intervention students run the respite services and daytime activities. Some of these professionals have been with the Centre multifonctionnel Horizon since its beginnings. As participants attend the Centre on a regular basis, the professionals have developed a specialized expertise with each one.
The Centre multifonctionnel Horizon is much more than a team of professionals. The organization’s actions are supported by a Board of Directors made up of men and women committed to their community. An administrative team complements the staff. The Centre multifonctionnel Horizon relies on volunteers to carry out its mission.
Centre multifonctionnel Horizon is THE second home where the essential needs of people with disabilities are met. It is a place of well-being and excellence at the service of families.
We are convinced of the vital importance of this approach throughout the various stages of life, as a means of recreating a second home.
Centre multifonctionnel Horizon aims to provide inclusive, accessible and secure services for participants and their families.
these values are at the very heart of Centre multifonctionnel Horizon. They are the basis on which we develop the best practices in support and well-being, so that every visit is a pleasure.
Openness to diversity, innovation, community and partners, in order to explore new alternatives and solutions.

When I moved to Léry with my family in the spring of 2018, I had no idea the Centre multifonctionnel Horizon existed. It was only a few years later that I met Thierry, Élyse, Marie-Josée and crossed paths with several families and participants. In doing so, I noticed that the reality of families living with different children is one that seems very little known, and which, nonetheless, affects many of our families.
As one of those who advocates community living, I firmly believe that it takes a village to raise a child, and that mutual support should be an integral part of our daily lives. That’s why I was delighted to accept the mandate of spokesperson for the Centre multifonctionnel Horizon.
I hope to help raise awareness of this wonderful organization that I’ve had the pleasure of discovering over the past year, a unique and inspiring organization, and to help shed light on the reality of families living with different children. Perhaps one day we’ll be able to remove the barriers linked to the fear of difference, and finally help each other better as a community.
