The Centre multifonctionnel Horizon in Léry, a neighboring city of Châteauguay, aims to be a second home for people with disabilities and their families. Since 2016, the staff has opened the doors of the establishment, located in a former chapel, to individuals with intellectual and physical disabilities as well as those with autism spectrum disorder.
The staff at the Centre multifonctionnel Horizon adapt activities to meet the needs of everyone. Pairing people with disabilities and those with autism spectrum disorder often brings smiles to many participants.
The Centre multifonctionnel Horizon offers day activities (LINK TO THE SERVICES PAGE) to individuals aged 21 and over residing in the Roussillon region. Supporting a person with a disability can be demanding. Yes, loving a family member is important, but it is also important to love oneself. We offer weekend and in-home respite to parents of children aged 6 and over, as well as a summer camp (LINK TO THE SERVICES PAGE). Weekend respite is available to families in the Montérégie-Ouest region. In-home respite is available to families in Châteauguay, and other named municipalities. At the Centre multifonctionnel Horizon, we prioritize participants remaining within their natural family environment.
